The role: Editorial/Community Manager - Hamburg
Is the Internet second to oxygen on your must-have list? Are you addicted to digital culture? Want to be a part of the online video revolution? YouTube has become a social phenomenon by empowering anyone with a video camera to share his or her unique content with millions. We are looking for the right person to be fully involved in the YouTube community in Germany. As the Community Manager for your country, you represent the pivotal “voice of the community” internally and externally. This means you have a keen understanding of the users in your market not only the content they are making and watching, but also what they want out of the site and you are the main conduit between users in your market and YouTube itself.

Responsibilities:

  • Featuring videos that showcase trends, tie in to current happenings, surface partner content and appeal to a local audience’s interests, culture and taste.
  • Community outreach – connecting with users in your region, troubleshooting where necessary.
  • Brainstorming and executing on innovative ways to engage users in your market.
  • Serving as the “voice of the community” and working with teams like PR, Marketing and Customer Service to get that voice heard.
  • Writing the YouTube blog for your country.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years work experience in an editorial, new media or marketing capacity.
  • Insatiable hunger and passion for trends, pop culture and digital culture especially YouTube.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – native tongue + English.
  • Experience in online platforms for content dissemination, including social networking and video sharing sites.
  • Excellent work ethic, organizational skills and team player.
    Creative mind and sense of humor.
