Box.net is looking to hire a Community Manager that will be in contact with Box.net’s users and evangelize Box.net’s services to bloggers, tech and business community members, forums, and more. Throughout this process, the community manager will provide feedback to the marketing and product teams. The community manager will also maintain Box.net’s official blog, and be a leading commentator in the online data community. Additionally, the Community Manager will be responsible for initiating new media marketing campaigns in the web/blogosphere; one example of a recent Box.net campaign is our “Googolopoly” game board (http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/04/15/one-startups-view-of-the-mighty-google/). The community manager will be responsible for implementing similar efforts in the future.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in online marketing or public relations
  • Must have extensive experience blogging, twittering, powncing, facebooking, and more
  • Experience maintaining contact with large user groups or press
  • Must be extremely creative, good team worker, able to execute and implement new marketing strategies
  • Must be passionate about web technologies, web 2.0, collaboration, etc.
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills
  • 4-year degree (BA/BS) required
  • Experience with HTML/style sheets, etc a plus
  • Familiarity with web programming languages and standards a plus (no programming experience needed)
